Christina graduated from Williams College with a bachelor’s degree in biology and as a pre-vet student. Determined that veterinary school was the only possible career option for a person who wanted to work with animals, she continued to work in animal hospitals while improving her science background.

She went on to earn a master’s degree in biology from CCNY of the City University of New York (CUNY). During her second-to-last semester of graduate school, in an Animal Behavior course, she met her current mentor, Parvene Farhoody (owner of Behavior Matters). Parvene enlightened her and told Christina that going to veterinary school would bring her nowhere near fulfilling her dreams of training service dogs.

With a eureka! moment, Christina decided to drastically (or slightly – depending on who you’re asking) change her career path and started taking graduate advanced certificate courses in Applied Behavior Analysis at Queens College (QC) – the only program of its kind offered in New York City. Christina is now finishing up her final courses at QC and is overjoyed to be working with dog behavior, her true life passion.

In addition to working with dogs, Christina teaches as an Adjunct Lecturer of Biology for CUNY.
